REMAIN SINGLE OR GET MARRIED?

i got this from Job Wahiman's posted link on Multiply.
(here's the original link.)

Ask yourselves this question.... Am i ready to get married or should i wait a little longer?  Next question is, wait a little longer for what?  Hhhmmm.... Okay next question is Are you prepared emotionally, financially, physically and spiritually?

Why do you want to get married?  Common answers we get are the following:
     1.  I just want to start a family of my own.
     2.  I'm already over staying at my parents house.
     3.  All my friends are married already.
     4.  My dad / mom says so.
     5.  It's an arranged marriage.
     6.  "Ah eh.... Pastor, may nangyari na kase eh" (tsk tsk.... we call this Carriage before Marriage).
     7.  I just want to, and i'm walking down the aisle with the guy who is handsome and rich.
     8.  Our parents want to keep the business intact, and they want us children to take over in the future (similar to arranged marriage).
     9.  "Last trip na, mahuhuli na ako!"
    10.  I want to have someone whom i can be for the rest of my life.

There are a lot more, and people may have a million good and valid reasons (according to them) to get married.  But is this how God wants it to be?

God created marriage and this is in fact recorded in the bible in Genesis chapter 2.  We all know that at each time God created the things in the heavens, the earth and the seas, God said it was GOOD!  When He created the first man and saw that there was something missing, He said "it is NOT GOOD"....  It is Not Good for man to be alone so he created a suitable partner for him.  Notice that God said "a suitable partner" not just a partner.  This means someone who would be a compliment to the other.  Not someone who is to be randomly picked out from the crowd.  Not just someone who is physically attractive or a millionaire or intelligent.  But someone who is suitable for you.

I believe that God has already ordained partners for you and He has already impressed that in your hearts.  What God then impresses in you turns into your desire.  A desire for marriage, a desire to claim that promise of having that suitable partner

Pray for God's will.  Let God direct you to the man or the woman of your life.  And while in the wait, let God prepare your heart, your character and your budget.  :)
